Cold Brew Hibiscus Tea
(originated from here)
Ingredients:
1/2 cup dried hibiscus flowers
1 cinnamon stick*
4 cups cold water
2 tablespoons to 1/4 cup honey/agave or maple or simple syrup/any other sweetener of your choice
Lime wedges (for serving)
* To enhance the exotic nature of the tea it’s worth to try adding some other ingredients like sliced fresh ginger, star anise, orange peel, allspice, lemongrass, or melisa.
Preparation:
1. Place the hibiscus and the cinnamon stick in a large jar or bowl. Add water. Cover and refrigerate overnight (8 to 12 hours).
2. Add simple syrup to taste. Stir well.
3. Strain out the solids and serve over ice with a squeeze of lime, if desired.
